Barbie has been taking over box offices all over the world. The Greta Gerwig film starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling took viewers into Barbie’s world and now, it looks like toy maker Mattel is looking to add more to its cinematic universe.
As per multiple reports, Mattel is planning more movies after Barbie. There are reportedly 14 movies in development. These include Polly Pocket, Barney, Thomas and Friends and more.
So far, a Polly Pocket movie starring Emily In Paris actress Lily Collins has been locked. The film will be directed by Lena Dunham.
Talks of Barbie sequels are also garnering buzz following the film’s success. However, Greta Gerwig recently revealed that she hasn’t thought of a follow-up film yet. That being said, Cillian Murphy is up for playing Ken in possible future instalments.
