2020 is a year that we lost several gems in the film industry. It seems like the year just took a turn for the worse as we’ve learnt that actor Asif Basra, who is known for his stint in movies like Kai Po Che, Freaky Ali, Roy, Jab We Met, The Attacks of 26/11, Ek Villain, has passed away.
A report in a leading daily has revealed that the late actor committed suicide at a private complex in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. Asif was 53 years old and was found hanging by a dog chain in his rented apartment in Mcleod Ganj. Himachal Pradesh SSP Kangra Vimukt Ranjan told the news portal, “Film actor Asif Basra was found hanging in a private complex in Dharamshala. the The forensic team is at the spot and police is investigating the matter.”
Media reports claim that the actor was suffering from depression however, we’ll know the exact details only once the police conclude its investigation.
