Early this morning, filmmaker and actor Satish Kaushik passed away at the age of 66. The heartbreaking news of the actor’s demise was shared by Anupam Kher who took to his Instagram and shared a heartfelt tribute.

He wrote, “I know ‘death is the ultimate truth of this world!’ But I never thought in my dream that I would write this about my best friend #SatishKaushik while I was alive. Such a sudden full stop on 45 years of friendship!! Life will never be the same without you SATISH! Om Shanti!”





According to a leading news organisation, Anupam Kher stated that Satish was at a friend’s house in Delhi when he complained of uneasiness, he told his driver to take him to the hospital and on the way, he suffered a heart attack at around 1 am.

Satish Chandra Kaushik, who was born on April 13, 1956, was a screenwriter, actor, director, and producer. He earned his degree from Kirori Mal College and attended the National School of Theatre and the Cinema and Television Institute of India.

Satish Kaushik was most famously known for playing the role of Calendar in Mr India and acted in various films like Ram Lakhan, Saajan Chale Sasural, Deewana Mastana, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Udta Punjab and more. He was also a director and is best known for Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, Tere Naam and more.
