Om Raut, the director of Adipurush, ignited a social media uproar on Wednesday when he was photographed kissing Kriti Sanon on the cheek at Tirupati temple. At a pre-release event held at Tirupati’s Sri Venkateswara University Stadium, the Adipurush team, which stars also Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan, unveiled the movie’s final trailer. Prabhas and Kriti attended the event.
Om Raut and Kriti Sanon were pictured at the Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirupati for darshan, which ignited the controversy. Om Raut kisses Kriti on the cheek as she boards her car in a video that is currently going viral. A politician remarked on this incident.
He tweeted about taking offense to the act and commented against it. Later he deleted the message from social media.
Director Om Raut later said when speaking about his visit to the temple “After coming to the temple, I feel extremely amazing. It felt nice. We had a great darshan today morning. Yesterday, we put out the trailer. It’s a mesmerising feeling and I cannot put it into words.”
Kriti Sanon will play Janaki in Adipurush , while Prabhas will play Raghav. Saif Ali Khan also appears in the movie, playing Ravana, the villain. Adipurush is set to release on June 16.
