The actress was left disgusted following her accidental kiss with the hero, who even apologised to her after the shot.
Raveena Tandon is one of the most popular actresses of the 90s, known for delivering numerous hits and portraying a variety of roles. However, the one thing that the actress stuck by throughout her career was her ‘no-kissing policy’ and she continues to uphold to this till date.
Raveena’s daughter, Rasha Thadani, is set to make her Bollywood debut and the actress stated that while she was never comfortable to kiss on-screen, the same rule does not apply to her daughter. Reflecting on an incident from her early career, Raveena emphasised that Rasha should never do something she isn’t comfortable with. She added that she has no issue if her daughter feels at ease kissing an actor on-screen.
Back in the days, Raveena mentioned that there were no contracts as such, but she made it very clear that she would never kiss a co-star on screen. The actress revealed that she was once shooting for a scene in which she had to be “roughly handled” by the hero. And during the shoot, the actor’s lips accidentally brushed against hers, which left the actress feeling disgusted.
While speaking to Leher, Raveena recalled, “I remember I was doing a little rough handling scene with a male actor and I remember accidentally his lips touched mine. It happened by mistake, it was not even needed. It was a mistake. I went to my room and vomited because I was not comfortable at all. The shot got over and I went upstairs, I felt nauseous. I couldn’t take it. I said, ‘Yuck no. Please brush your teeth, wash your mouth a hundred times.” She added that the actor didn’t intend to and even apologised to her after the shot.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Raveena will be next seen in a web show titled Dynasty. The show is a political drama directed by Sahil Sangha and will also feature veteran singer-actor Talat Aziz.
On the other hand, her daughter Rasha will be making her big Bollywood debut in Abhishek Kapoor’s Azaad alongside Ajay Devgn’s nephew Aaman Devgan.
