The way of Jesus – The Economic Times

The wonder has grown upon me – the wonder that Jesus and Buddha and Krishn dwelt in a world so scarred by sin, so marred by man.

Jesus resisted not evil – so pure was he, so clear of all desire to revenge any wrong. He endured all things: how with a radiant face he went up the cross, and he complained not, but he breathed out blessings upon all who wronged him, not knowing what they did.

He dared to dream of a Kingdom of Heaven. It gleamed in his eyes. It sang on the cross. Did they not think he was a dreamer?

‘The Kingdom of Heaven,’ Jesus said, ‘is within you, and whosoever knoweth himself shall find It.’ ‘Know thy Self’ – has been the teaching of all sages in all climes and all ages. This Knowledge is realisation of unity, oneness in all creatures, in all countries, in all races.

Krishn taught Arjun: ‘Do not sow desire in the heart. For desire is seduction.’ And Jesus taught the value of silence. Some said to Jesus: ‘What shall we do to enter into the Kingdom?’ And Jesus answered: ‘Never say anything. Go into Silence.’ And some said: ‘We, often, are unable to do that.’ And Jesus said: ‘Then never say anything but what is good.’
