Dune: Prophecy has been officially renewed for a second season. During a press conference, showrunner Alison Schapker confirmed the news. She said, “We’re so thrilled and grateful for their support, for our partners at Legendary and most of all that we get to keep working with these incredible people in front of and behind the camera and get to keep telling this story.”
The show began on November 17, 2024. The season finale is scheduled for December 22. The series is set 10,000 years before the events of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune films.
The two Harkonnen sisters are played by Emily Watson and Olivia Williams. The sisters are at a tiff with the negative forces who threaten their future. The series is inspired by Sisterhood of Dune, a novel by Brian Herbert, the son of Dune author Frank Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.
The cast includes Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Camilla Beeput, Jihae, Tabu, Charithra Chandran, Jessica Barden, Emma Canning and Yerin Ha.
