Pushpa 2 Stampede Victim Declared Brain Dead


The young boy who was injured in a stampede during the premiere of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has been declared brain dead. The stampede was caused after the actor and his team arrived at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during the screening of the film. The boy’s mother lost her life, while he was grievously injured. He has now been put on ventilator support due to the extensive injuries he suffered in the stampede.

As per KIMS Cuddles Hospital’s health bulletin, “His fever is reducing and on minimal inotropes, his vital parameters are stable. He is tolerating feeds well,” the bulletin read. Hyderabad City Police Commissioner CV Anand reportedly told the media that he is ‘brain dead’ after visiting the hospital.

Meanwhile, a couple of days back, Allu Arjun penned a note expressing his deep concern over the condition of the boy.

He wrote on social media, “I remain deeply concerned about young Sri Tej, who is under constant medical care after the unfortunate incident. Due to the ongoing legal proceedings, I have been advised not to visit him and his family at this time. My prayers remain with them and I remain committed to taking responsibility for addressing the medical and family needs. I wish him a speedy recovery, and I look forward to meeting him and his family at the earliest.”
