AR Rahman’s daughter Khatija Rahman has denied the reports of the music maestro taking a career break after his separation from Saira Banu. She responded to a tweet that said that AR Rahman will take a one-year break from the music industry. She wrote, “Please stop spreading such useless rumours.”
AR Rahman and his wife Saira Banu parted ways after almost 29 years of marriage. A couple of weeks back, Saira opened up about the separation and asked people not to malign the musician’s name by spreading rumours. She revealed that she had been physically unwell for some time and wanted to take a break from the composer. She was quoted as saying, “I’ve been physically unwell for the last couple of months. That’s the reason I just wanted to take a break from AR.”
“I request you to stop false allegations. God bless, and my sincere prayers that we are left alone and given space. We have not officially announced anything yet. Stop tarnishing his name, which is absolutely rubbish. He is a gem of a person,” said Saira.
