Varun Tej’s period drama Matka is streaming on OTT now. The film which had its theatrical release on November 14, received a lukewarm response from the audience.
Matka is set between 1958 and 1982 and follows the journey of a man, Vasu (Tej) from a poor background who ends up becoming a Matka gambler.
It is based on real-life incidents and also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary, Nora Fatehi, Saloni Aswani and Satyam Rajesh among others.
The film did not perform well at the Indian box office and managed to mint Rs 4.09 crore with the Telugu collection coming up to Rs 4.02 crore, as per Sacnilk.
However, the film is available on Amazon Prime Video for streaming from December 5 in multiple languages such as Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi.
