Allu Arjun’s highly-anticipated movie Pushpa 2 is finally in theatres now. The movie was released on November 5, 2024. However, before the big release, Allu Arjun’s film had a special premiere in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Bengaluru on December 4. During the premiere, a tragic incident unfolded when a woman lost her life, and her young son was left in critical condition during the stampede in Hyderabad, where the premier was taking place.
An influx of fans were gathered to witness their superstar – Allu Arjun. However, soon, the situation turned from joy to chaos when a stampede took place. As a result, a 35-year-old woman died, and her nine-year-old son was critically injured during the stampede situation, reported The Hindu. A Chikkadpally Police official was quoted telling the portal, “There was no information about their arrival until two hours before, and hence no bandobast was organised. People in large numbers gathered to catch a glimpse of the actor while he was leaving the theatre, leading to the stampede.”
The deceased has been identified as Revathi, whereas her son has been identified as Bhaskar. According to reports, the victim went with her husband and son and was making their way out of the theatre hall when the stampede happened. Reports suggest that fans were keen to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun, surged towards the theatre, pushing aside those leaving.

After the incident took place, nearby police personnel and bystanders tried to give Revathi and her son CPR. However, with no right response, the mother-son duo were transported to a nearby hospital. Later, the boy was shifted to a super-speciality hospital, where his condition was said critical. Unfortunately, Revathi, couldn’t survive her injuries and passed away. Later, her body was sent to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem examination.
Eyewitnesses reported that chaos erupted when news of Allu Arjun’s arrival at the venue spread. A massive crowd assembled, leading to a frenzy as fans tried to get closer to the superstar. Despite police presence at the scene and a mild lathi charge to control the situation, the commotion resulted in Revathi and her son being trampled in the stampede.
