What’s behind the feud between Ranting Gola and Abu Azmi

‘Na baap bada na bhaiya sabse bada rupaiya’ – The famous Hindi song aptly fits the bill to describe “some” influencers who have shot to fame overnight and claim to be the biggest crusader out there to save India’s “crumbling democracy”. Well, now their script is out in the open, literally and metaphorically exposing how any Tom, Dick, and Harry out there projecting themselves as new Jay Prakash Narayan could indeed be ‘pretentious political analysts’, but in a real sense good actors narrating the scripts they receive from their political masters.

Shamita Yadav aka Ranting Gola shot to fame with her cringy, ‘Paw Paw’ video. Despite having a soft corner with the opposition alliance, Ranting Gola recently made a ‘surprising video’ against an I.N.D.I. alliance leader Abu Azmi. However, hours after her video against the SP leader started doing rounds on social media, she hurriedly released a video to take a sharp U-turn on her video against Abu Azmi.

In her earlier video, Shamita Yadav aka Ranting Gola held Abu Azmi accountable for inaction on the rise of drug-related crimes over the past 15 years in his Govandi constituency.

Slamming the SP leader, Gola said, “Despite the growing drug menace, Azmi hasn’t filed a single letter urging police investigations. If you can’t fulfill your responsibilities, step aside.”

Highlighting the alarming statistics, Ranting Gola stated that only two cases were registered under the NDPS Act between 2009 and 2021 in Govandi. She went further to cast Abu Azmi guilty asking, “Are you misusing funds or complicit in this illegal trade?”

Turning her focus to the environmental crisis, Shamita Yadav described Govandi as a “graveyard of biomedical waste” and blamed local SMS companies for releasing toxic smoke.

She added, “This pollution is choking residents, making Govandi a hub for TB patients. If you can’t fix this, burn your shame with the next batch of waste.”

In her fiery conclusion, Yadav urged voters to prioritize their safety and well-being in the upcoming elections. “Vote not for any politician, but for the future of your family,” she said, calling for change and accountability.

Ranting Gola who claims to be politically neutral however is known for making propaganda videos for the opposition. Her video against Abu Azmi did not go that well with her political masters.

When her video against Abu Azmi went viral, she released a clarification video taking a U-turn. In her U-turn video, she distanced herself from the views expressed in the earlier video claiming that the earlier video was part of a “trial recording” and she was only reading a “script” given to her. I don’t know, maybe political parties are also asking for “screening videos” from influencers, to seal employment deals just like Bollywood does.

Coming back to the point, Ranting Gola further said, “The viral video was a trial recording based on a script provided to me. It was never verified or meant for public release. These are not my personal opinions, nor have I confirmed the information presented in it.” She added that the video was not shared on any of her official social media accounts, suggesting as if it was leaked without her authorization.

But her explanation was not well accepted by netizens. Some even claimed that the opposition which pays its propaganda content creators has blocked the payment of Ranting Gola i.e. Shamita Yadav for making an exposing video on Abu Azmi and therefore she had to come out taking a U-turn to get her payment released.

Some have even speculated that the amount might run up to Rs 15 lakhs, though we choose not to comment on this claim.

Nonetheless, the infighting is enough to showcase that there are paid stooges of political parties wandering around as social media influencers who work solely on the inspiration of money. Ranting Gola may not be the only one among them. There may be far more big names involved from comedians to actors/actresses to people from outside the country, maybe from a country the famous short mustache guy hailed from.

They are just small pawns in the bigger game of narrative war, pliable influencers, Soros gang members, and far from the rhetoric that they are the champions of “neutral journalism”, paragons of truth, neutral influencers.
