Xiaomi has confirmed the launch date of its first 5G phone for under Rs 10,000 in India called the Redmi A4 5G. The company unveiled the device along with Qualcomm at the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) 2024 last month, and is now ready to be offered in the market.
The new Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset is powering this Redmi phone which becomes the first in the market to use the hardware and also bring a quality 5G phone to the buyers for under Rs 10,000. We still don’t know how much the Redmi A4 5G phone will cost but getting it in four-digits should be appealing to many consumers.
Redmi 4A India Launch: Price And Features We Can Expect
Xiaomi has not revealed the specifications of the 5G phone but we already know about the features supported by the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset which should get people excited for what’s to come. The new 5G chipset offers support for a 90Hz refresh rate screen that will give you Full HD+ resolution. The chipset supports up to 8GB RAM and UFS 3.1 for storage which will let apps work faster and the multi-tasking will be better on these devices.
The new hardware can offer charging speeds up to 40W which will be a definite upgrade on the existing speeds available with budget phones. We are eager to see how Xiaomi manages to package the supposed budget 5G phone and if it is able to pull off another pricing masterstroke like its hay days.
