Not elementary after all – The Economic Times

Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson had gone camping. They pitched their tent under the stars and went to sleep. Sometime in the middle of the night, Holmes wakes Watson up and says, ‘Watson, look up at the sky, and tell me what you see.’

Watson replies, ‘I see millions of stars.’ Holmes: ‘And what do you deduce from that?’ Watson: ‘Well, if there are millions of stars, and if even a few of those have planets, it’s quite likely there are some planets like Earth out there. And if there are a few planets like Earth out there, there might also be life.’

Holmes: ‘Watson, you idiot, it means that somebody stole our tent.’

Rum Naam Satya

An Old Monk rum distillery worker in Kasauli rushed to the home of his co-worker with bad news.

‘I’m sorry Veenaji, but Ratan died at the distillery today.”Oh my god!’ replied Veena, ‘What happened?!”He drowned in a vat of rum,’ said the worker, sadly.

‘That’s terrible! Was it at least a quick death?’ asked Ratan’s grief-stricken wife.

‘I’m afraid not,’ the worker replied, ‘He got out three times to go to the bathroom.’
