NBA star Jimmy Butler has turned into Nostradamus having correctly predicted the winner of the Miami Grand Prix.

Butler shared a post on Instagram with the caption, “Lando Norris I called this s***.”

The official handle of the Formula One also shared a picture of the post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

“Mystic Jimmy called it,” read the post shared by Formula One.

Butler even added a video where he could be heard picking McLaren driver Norris as the winner of the Miami Grand Prix.

Butler had previously attended the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal in 2019 and he had a memorable time out with Norris.

The McLaren driver, then 19, showed Butler around the track at a very high speed. Butler, however, had some hilarious reactions to share later.

“Like I tell everybody, I don’t like to go fast. I like to go slow. I drive big cars, not small, fast ones. That’s probably why I don’t get in these cars,” Buttler had said as per The Sun.

This year’s Miami GP turned out to be a remarkable one for Norris as he won the first Formula One race of his career on Sunday.

Norris, in his 110th race for McLaren, got the better of the world champion Max Verstappen by over seven seconds. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc finished third to complete the top-three.

“About time huh? I knew on Friday that we had the pace…today we managed to put it together. We had the perfect strategy, it all paid off,” said Norris.

“I guess a lot of people doubted me along the way. I’ve made a lot of mistakes over the last five years, my short career, but today we pulled it all together, so this is all for the team. I stuck with McLaren because I could believe in them and I did believe in them and today proved exactly that,” he added.

As for Butler and the Miami Heat, they did not have a fruitful NBA outing this time as they suffered their first exit from the playoffs prior to the conference finals since 2021. The Boston Celtics reached the Eastern Conference semifinals, getting the better of the Miami Heat 118-84 in Game 5.
