The pre-production of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, featuring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role of Lord Ram, is reportedly in full swing. According to an India Today report, Ranbir will undergo extensive vocal training to portray the character, as the director aims for a distinctive voice for Lord Ram. The film also stars Sai Pallavi and Yash as Sita and Ravan, respectively.
Nitesh Tiwari, known for his work on Dangal, is said to be meticulously planning every aspect of the film. A dedicated team has been formed for the diction and dialogue department to work closely with the actors. Ranbir has been assigned a diction expert to ensure his dialogue delivery aligns with the director’s vision, with special attention given to costumes.
The source highlighted that Ranbir possesses a distinct baritone and delivery style, which is emblematic of his acting. Even without visual cues, one can readily identify his dialogue solely by his voice. In the upcoming Ramayana project, director Nitesh aims to ensure that Ranbir’s voice stands apart from his previous roles. As a versatile actor, Ranbir is relishing the opportunity to explore new avenues in his performance.
Ramayana joins a lineup of recent films based on the epic, including Om Raut’s Adipurush and Prasanth Varma’s HanuMan. While an official announcement is awaited from the film’s team, speculation about its production has been buzzing for some time.
Ranbir is expected to commence shooting for the film soon. Rumours suggest that Sunny Deol has been approached to play Hanuman and Bobby Deol for the role of Kumbhakaran. The makers aim to release the film in 2025.
