Shah Rukh Khan is currently making headlines for Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, with his performance earning widespread acclaim on social media. Amidst speculations about his involvement in Dhoom 4, a recent report shed light on the uncertainty surrounding his participation in the anticipated film.
According to a leading news portal, the news linking Shah Rukh Khan to Dhoom 4 is unsubstantiated, indicating that no concrete decisions have been made yet regarding his involvement. Despite ongoing work on the film, the casting still needs to be decided. Earlier reports had suggested that both Shah Rukh and Ram Charan might feature in Dhoom 4.
Dhoom, the action thriller released in 2004, directed by Sanjay Gadhvi and written by Vijay Krishna Acharya, centred on a gang of motorbike-riding robbers conducting heists in Mumbai, with a police officer and a motorbike dealer attempting to thwart their plans. The sequels, Dhoom 2 in 2006 and Dhoom 3 in 2013, boasted star-studded casts, including Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and others.
Shah Rukh Khan, following his consecutive successes with Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki, hinted at his next film in an interview while promoting Dunki in the Middle East. He shared plans to start shooting the project between March and April 2024, signalling a much-anticipated return to the silver screen within the next 12 to 15 months. Additionally, he mentioned that his role in the upcoming film would be fitting for his age, despite remaining the central protagonist.
