Mohra

Director: Rajiv Rai

Cast: Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Naseeruddin Shah, Raveena Tandon

In 1994, Mohra emerged as one of the standout successes. Suniel Shetty took on the role of Vishal, a former convict imprisoned for exacting vengeance on four criminals who brutally raped and murdered his sister-in-law, Rita. Freed from incarceration through the efforts of journalist Roma (Raveena Tandon) and her superior Jindal (Naseeruddin Shah), Vishal encounters resistance from Roma’s boyfriend, Inspector Amar (Akshay Kumar). Amar opposes Vishal’s release and engages in physical confrontations with him. Now embroiled in drug smuggling and in the employ of Jindal, Vishal evolves into a pawn—a ‘mohra’—for Jindal’s criminal designs. Jindal himself is a smuggler exploiting Vishal’s services to evade law enforcement.
