We all saw Aditya Roy Kapur play the role of a rockstar in Aashiqui 2 which was a huge commercial success. Now, the star is all set to release his own music album.
Recently, in an interview with a leading news portal, Aditya said, “I play music and now I’m working on an album that I’ll be hopefully be putting out soon. I’ve been in the studio, working on that. Music has always been a passion and hobby but I’m pursuing it more seriously now.”
It appears that the actor has been engaged in writing and creating music. However, he has only shared his musical creations with his intimate circle of friends and not with anyone else. Nevertheless, Aditya now intends to showcase his musical talent to his fans and those who have an appreciation for music.
Aditya was asked if he had ever been asked to sing for his movies in the past, considering his love for music, and he responded by revealing, “It has come up as a possibility but it never quite happened. I’ve discussed that with Mohit (Suri) back in the time during Aashiqui 2. He wanted me to go into the studio just to sing the songs and get that sensation of singing them as a singer would because I was playing a singer in the film.”
He revealed that he has tried singing inside a recording studio and said, “So, I went into the studio and sang the songs of Aashiqui full-on no matter how bad I was sounding. I think they put me on mute on their side of the studio but I felt like I was singing on my side and got it out of my system.”
The actor was asked if he plans on lending his voice for a Metro…In Dino. He jokingly replied that he hasn’t sung in any film yet but it could happen in the future. He thinks that singing is the same in Hindi and English, but if he wants to do it properly for a film, he would like to work on singing in Hindi.
Meanwhile, Aditya Roy Kapur will next be seen in Anurag Basus Metro…In Dino with Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi, Anupam Kher, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Ali Fazal. The film is set to be released theatrically on March 29, 2024.
