Recently, The Archies’ ensemble cast featuring Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, Suhana Khan, Dot, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja and Yuvraj Menda, attended the global fan Ott event in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Zoya Akhtar, who is the director of the adaptation, talked about her experience of accompanying the young cast crew to Brazil.
At the OTT event, the cast of the film gave a marvellous performance on their song Aao kahani, suno on the stage.
When asked what would have occurred if one of the novices had made a mistake during the event, Zoya responded to a popular entertainment portal that the ‘kids’ had practised for the same for months and were OK. In addition, Zoya discussed the crew’s journey in the film and claimed that they had put in a lot of effort to achieve the same. The director went on to explain that the young actors initially underwent a number of screen tests. The next six months were spent in a real “boot camp” that included acting workshops with three to four different persons, dance training with Bosco Caesar, skating and cycling practice, and more.
In addition, Zoya clarified that, in contrast to popular misconception, she is neither the group’s “principal” nor chaperone. She continued by saying that even if the actors are young adults, they are still grownups who are living their own lives. In addition, Zoya said that since this is her first-period piece and her first comic book adaptation, she is sort of making her comeback with the cast.
The Archies is one of the year’s most anticipated films. The film, which is based on the famous comic book of the same name, is set in 1960s India, stars Agastya as Archie Andrews, Suhana as Veronica, Khushi as Betty, Vedang as Reggie, Dot as Ethel, and Mihir as Jughead.
