Arjun was recently questioned regarding the negative media coverage his relationship with Malaika Arora has been the subject of. The actor blamed today’s clickbait culture for promoting it.
Arjun said that clickbait culture is more about negativity and he thinks negativity is easier to get people’s attention because that’s been building for a while. He also stated that actors’ personal lives are not always private.
Talking regarding journalists, Arjun stated, “There might be that element that remains, but I think we rely on you all (journalists) to reach the audience. We need you all to be at least cognizant of the fact that we are human beings. So, check with us once in a while if you’re going to write something that is very, very important. At least do that much and I think that was all that I did. It was more about that it should be checked; it should not be assumed. You should not put something that can be life-altering out there.”
Arjun expressed his trust in journalists and their responsibility to verify the information before publishing it. He emphasized that he has always been transparent and honest, and doesn’t want false information to be spread about his personal life. Arjun urged journalists to be professional and not to make their work personal or vindictive. Additionally, he advised against believing one’s own lies and not becoming what they are trying to sell.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Arjun Kapoor will next be seen in The Ladykiller and Meri Patni Ka Remake alongside Bhumi Pednekar.
