Aishwarya Rai Bachchan recently shared a glimpse of her first look from Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 2.
Aishwarya took to her Instagram and shared the announcement teaser for the trailer and music launch of the film which is slated to be released today, March 29.
The teaser also gave a first glimpse of Aishwarya who is looking mesmerising and mysterious in her royal look as Queen Nandini. She is seen with a lamp in her hand as the camera captures her reflection in the mirror.
She also shared the new poster of the film that featured Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Vikram. In the poster, Aishwarya is seen lighting some diyas, while Vikram is seen looking intensely into the distance.
Sharing the new poster, Aishwarya wrote, “Fire in their eyes. Love in their hearts. Blood on their swords. The Cholas will be back to fight for the throne!”
According to multiple media reports, the trailer for the second instalment will be unveiled at around 6 p.m. tonight, March 29th, at Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium.
The historical drama, directed by Mani Ratnam, is based on Kalki’s tale of the same name. The film’s ensemble cast also features Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Lal, and Sobhita Dhulipala. Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s long-awaited return to the big screen was featured in the first act of the movie.
Ponniyin Selvan 2 is scheduled to be released in the cinemas on April 28.
