Ranbir Kapoor recently spoke about his daughter Raha Kapoor saying that ‘seeing that smile breaks his heart’ at an event for his upcoming film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar in Kolkata.
In the event, Ranbir said that he doesn’t want to leave home these days after Raha came into their lives. He also revealed that in the morning before leaving to catch his flight, he got just 20 minutes with Raha and just seeing her rejuvenates him. He further stated that he misses her a lot and he keeps seeing her photos. He also revealed that he is the burping specialist. He said, “I never knew burping is such a big part (in the early stages of a child). Whenever I’m at home, I’m always beside her and it’s magical. She has just started smiling in the last two weeks. And seeing that smile breaks your heart. It feels like a new understanding of love. You were asking me about the language of love, but the baby has no language. It’s a love you cannot describe.”
Ranbir also asked the journalist if he was a father and when the journalist stated he was not, Ranbir said, “I wish that upon you because it’s the best feeling in the world.”
Last year in April, Ranbir Kapoor and actress Alia Bhatt tied the knot at an intimate wedding. A few months later, in November, the couple welcomed their first daughter Raha Kapoor. Announcing her arrival, Alia Bhatt took to Instagram and wrote, “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings… Raha, in its purest form, means divine path. in Swahili she is Joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla – rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss. And true to her name, from the first moment we held her – we felt it ALL!”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Brahmastra alongside Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and others. He will next be seen in Tu Joothi Main Makkaar. The Luv Ranjan directorial will mark his first onscreen collaboration with Shraddha Kapoor. He also has Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s action film Animal in his pipeline. The film also stars Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandana, Bobby Deol and Tripti Dimri in key roles.
