If home is where the heart is, it’s no surprise that B-town celebrities have been pouring in their passion and creativity into doing up their homes. With many looking to spend more quality time indoors over the past two years, our connection to our homes has evolved into a deeper bond. To delve into that connection, Asian Paints is back with their original home décor web series, ‘Asian Paints Where The Heart Is’. The series takes viewers into the homes of their favourite celebrities as they take us on a tour of their personal spaces, discuss movies and more.
The much-awaited Season 6 sees some of the most popular stars open up their homes for viewers to pick up décor inspirations for their own homes. All six episodes are now live on Asian Paints’ digital platforms. For the first time, the series will be streaming on OTT platform Voot as well. The line-up for the season features Anil Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor, Pooja Hegde, Yuvraj Singh, PV Sindhu, Jim Sarbh, and Mouni Roy. Here’s what to expect –
Pooja Hegde
While you know Pooja Hegde from her roles in films like Radhe Shyam and Beast, her home is where she can truly be herself. Being a hardcore cinephile, she has a corridor filled with movie posters that inspire her as an actress – Wonder, Kung Fu Panda, Chupke Chupke and more. Merging the best of two worlds, the actress’ abode has an old-world charm and modern design aesthetics complete with what she describes as a “lofty” New York and London vibe.
Jim Sarbh
Actor Jim Sarbh, best known for his scene-stealing role in Padmaavat is a people person. So it’s no surprise that his beachside bungalow is the perfect getaway for himself and his loved ones. Sarbh’s home speaks of nostalgia and of course his love for films. If you ask him, his favourite space is the outdoor area overlooking a mud flat which the actor thinks is the perfect setting for the ending of an apocalyptic movie.
Anil Kapoor and Harshvarrdhan Kapoor
Anil Kapoor is a Bollywood icon in his own right and his home is full of reminders of the films he made. Did you know he bought his first home after his film Hum Paanch made a lot of money? His grand bungalow where he currently resides brims with personality. Likewise, Harshvarrdhan’s home reflects his love for movies. The Bhavesh Joshi Superhero actor swapped a traditional living room with a home cinema. Of course, his father Anil Kapoor uses the cinema set-up to impress his friends.
PV Sindhu
Two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu is a celebrated sports personality. As she takes viewers into her home, the place is expectedly adorned with medals, trophies and accolades. Like her form on the court, the home is a perfect symmetrical space perched on a hilltop in Hyderabad.
Yuvraj Singh
Cricket icon Yuvraj Singh’s Chandigarh home is full of geometric patterns. The sports star is reminded of his roots as he lounges on the couch with his mother. His home has a recreation spot for table tennis, a snooker table and other indoor sports that remind him of his childhood.
Mouni Roy
Mouni Roy’s chic home which she shares with her husband Suraj Nambiar is all about comfort, a perfect space to unwind and relax. The Brahmastra actress has decked it up with cool blue tones and neutral colours. Between finding a home on movie sets to lounging when off-duty, Mouni has mastered her work-life balance.
Feeling inspired?
Apart from the candid home walk-throughs, the season has a ‘Build Book’ segment showing celebrities browsing through a design guide complete with decor elements in their homes that you can look up on BeautifulHomes.com, the Asian Paints website. The website offers a vast and varied selection of products from Asian Paints’ catalogue of décor, lighting, furniture and more.
Moreover, the series reflects on celebrities, their bonds and what a home means to them. Each of the six episodes unpacks a new previously unseen side of them as they take us through a home built with love.
Asian Paints ‘Where The Heart Is’ Season 6 is currently available to stream on Asian Paints’ digital platforms and on Voot.
