A Positive Engagement – The Economic Times

The post-Covid years, hand in hand with exponential growth of technology, have led us to innovative disruption. Technology has created marvels, but disruption is very painful. We can’t spend even a day without the internet. It has increased competitiveness, depression, anxiety and distressed our relationships. The motivation behind innovation and well-being is fear of something going wrong or fear of something missing in life. But fear is a bad motivator.

Though we can trust consciousness of Satyam-Shivam-Sundaram, truth-benevolence-beauty, we spend most of our days in unconscious living. We are bound by habits, conditioning, fixed beliefs, self-defeating attitudes, the practice of avoidance, delay and denial, and the struggle to get ahead. This trend can be reversed so that we can live more consciously.

Each time you meditate, you are able to reframe your situation more positively, experience gratitude and call upon pure awareness to rebalance the whole body-mind-soul system. In essence, you are reminding yourself, and all your cells, that you are first and foremost a conscious, soulful being. Authentic happiness, total well-being, and positive engagements are possible only through such awareness.
