NCP’s Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule on Tuesday expressed strong displeasure over the non-inclusion of a woman in the cabinet.
“It is indeed unfortunate that a woman did not find a place in the Shinde-Fadnavis government during cabinet expansion. It is great injustice to women’s power,” Sule said.

Sule recalled the statement made by PM Modi that women were not mere home-makers but nation builders. Women empowerment is crucial to India’s growth, Modi had said.
In Maharashtra’s 288-member assembly, there are 25 are women legislators, while in the Upper House, there are four women out of a total of 78 members.
