One of Parineeti Chopra’s most awaited projects has been the Hindi remake of The Girl on the Train. Featuring in a never seen before avatar, Parineeti plays a dark and mysterious character, Mira Kapoor who watches a woman Nushrat, played by Aditi Rao Hydari on her train journey every day and starts to envy her life. This obsession with Nushrat lands Mira in trouble and in a murder investigation. Nushrat is in an unhappy marriage and is murdered. This leaves her husband, played by Avinash Tiwary and Mira in the middle of an investigation led by a cop, played by Kirti Kulhari.
Parineeti’s character also suffers from amnesia and she forgets a part of her life, especially the night of the murder and has no alibi to prove her innocence. The investigation and story reveal several truths about Mira’s life as we go on in several flashback sequences. Dark, delirious and thrilling, the trailer of the film leaves the audience intriguing and wanting more.
