“Bad Newz”, a highly-anticipated film starring Bollywood actors Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk, is set to hit the big screen on July 19, 2024. The film has indeed stirred up a substantial buzz among cinemagoers with the roll-out of its memorable songs and a series of ingenious promotions. A news report by Bollywood Hungama claimed that the Film Certification Board has requested the filmmakers to delete a specific 27-second long kissing scene, which appears in three separate parts of the movie. The CBFC’s examining committee deliberated thoroughly over the film, resulting in modifications to three kiss sequences between Vicky and Triptii. The trimmed scenes, which collectively lasted for 27 seconds, were factored into the overall cuts – a 9-second scene, a 10-second one, and an 8-second snippet.
After the revisions, the movie Bad Newz successfully secured a U/A rating from the CBFC. As stated in the censor certificate, the movie spans a duration of 142 minutes, translating into about 2 hours and 22 minutes.
