2 kids among 7 burnt alive as car rams into truck in Sikar | India News



JAIPUR: Seven people, including three women and two children, were burnt alive after their car allegedly rear-ended a truck at high speed and caught fire on Sunday near Fatehpur in Rajasthan‘s Sikar.
Preliminary probe indicated the occupants were from UP’s Meerut on a trip to Salasar Balaji temple in Churu.
The car caught fire almost immediately after the collision on Churu-Salasar State Highway as it was running on an LPG cylinder, DSP (Fatehpur Circle) Rampratap Bishnoi said.The flames from the car spread to the truck, which was ferrying cotton boxes. Fire brigades arrived and brought the blaze under control within half-an-hour.
An eyewitness, Ramniwas Saini said, “The truck overtook my vehicle. Moments later, the car collided with the truck. I parked my car on the side. Two people sitting in the back of the car were shouting for help. However, the gas kit tank behind the car caught fire. I informed the police.” tnn
